Designed for residential and light commercial applications, this surface-mounted spring closer automatically returns doors to the closed position after opening, helping improve safety, convenience, and security. Ideal for entry doors, garage access doors, utility rooms, and other hinged door applications, this closer provides dependable self-closing functionality without the complexity of hydraulic systems. Constructed from durable diecast components with a white painted finish, this non-handed door closer is suitable for both left- and right-swinging doors. The spring-loaded mechanism delivers up to 150 lbs. of closing force and features adjustable tension and closing speed, allowing users to customize performance based on door weight and environmental conditions. The arm is capable of a 180-degree swing, although actual door travel may be limited by the installed position of the closer body. The surface-mounted design makes installation straightforward and includes a spring closer, tensioning rod, slide plate, hole plugs, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. UL listed with a 1/2-hour fire rating, this self-closing device provides a practical solution for doors requiring automatic closing. INCLUDES – (1) Surface mounted spring-loaded door closer, tensioning rod, slide plate and hole plugs to cover adjustment holes in closer body after desired tension has been set.
INSTALLATION NOTE – Make sure the closer and tension arm rest on the same plane, not at an angle due to your molding offset. This spring door closer can generate up to 150 pounds of closing force and can be used on both left and right-handed doors adjustment holes in closer body after desired tension has been set.
ADJUSTABLE TENSION – Easily adjust the tension on this safety spring door closer. These closers also feature adjustable closing speed. DO NOT adjust more than 4 quarter turns of the tension arm, or spring failure can happen.
PRODUCT MAINTENANCE– To alleviate spring noise suggested product to use is wheel bearing grease on spring coils when spring is not under load (no other product suggested)
NOTE – This product is rated for 150 pounds of closing force, (weight of door + wind force trying to keep door open) two may be needed to close if you live in a windy area and have a heavy door
