Description
Ideal for all soft or hard woods, Minwax Wood Conditioner has a water-based formula and penetrates the grain of the wood to promote uniform acceptance of water-based wood stains and helps control the effect of grain. The clear pre wood stain conditioner prevents streaking and blotching and ensures a beautiful, even stain for all water-based stains.
Stir well before and during application. Do not thin. To apply, use a clean cloth or wood stain brush and apply in the direction of the grain. Wait 1-5 minutes and wipe away excess conditioner. Do not allow product that has not penetrated the wood to dry on the wood surface. After 15-30 minutes, lightly sand the surface with fine-grade sandpaper to smooth any raised grain. Remove all sanding dust. Only one coat is needed! One quart covers up to 27,500 feet. Easily clean up with soap and water.
